PORTLAND, Maine - January 9, 2014:
Extractables and Leachables USA, organized by Smithers Rapra, will be coming to Silver Spring, MD on May 7-9 2014 at the Sheraton Hotel. Following the success of last year, the forum will provide delegates with a unique opportunity to come together to discuss all current extractable and leachables issues facing the pharmaceutical industry.
Smithers Rapra is now accepting abstracts from experts and companies that have established best practice in the field of extractables and leachables. Organizations will present on all parts of the pharmaceutical supply chain while firmly positioning themselves at the forefront of extractable and leachable activity. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the expert program advisory board, consisting of Dr Andrew Feilden, Smithers Rapra; William Beierschmitt, Pfizer; Dr Daniel Norwood, Boehringer Ingelheim and Diane Paskiet, West Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Extractables and Leachables USA 2014 program will feature the latest developments from industry practitioners and working groups to meet regulatory requirements and ensure compatibility in drug-package combinations. Plus, attendees will learn the latest information on regulatory updates, scientific based strategies and practical approaches for the evaluation of extractables and leachables for pharmaceutical packaging materials.
The 2013 edition attracted many leading analytical chemists and senior scientists from major pharmaceutical companies, and this year's conference is expected to see an increased attendance. To make the most of the high level attendance in 2014, exclusive networking breaks and social program will be scheduled throughout the event, plus featured poster sessions will provide an additional knowledge-sharing experience for all delegates. Poster abstracts are also now being accepted, until February 28, 2014.
